THE PAST

The Ministry starts to beat in the Leaders heart
1981-91
YWAM in Pahi begins, with the Vision for Pacifika
YWAM Auckland leaders asked the question on how to minister to Pasifika and Maori communities in Auckland.
Island Breeze Ministries birthed in American Samoa was invited to come for a tour in New Zealand and promoted a Discipleship Training School to be started in Pahi, Northland, the Multicultural Discipleship Training School was birthed, and many Pacific and Maori students attended and went on to missions.
Pahi, Northland became the home for many Cross-cultural Discipleship Schools, School of Evangelism, and mobile teams being sent to many outreaches to the Pacific Islands and throughout New Zealand recruiting more people to be trained for missions.
1992
YWAM Ministry moves from Pahi to Mangere, Auckland
Polynesians International, a ministry focused on training and mobilising more Pacific islanders into mission started at 18 Lenore Road, Mangere, Auckland.

YWAM Te Ao Marama Flourishes
Leadership Training School was held in Auckland with many leaders from the Pacific region and internationally, and many of these leaders pioneered and started new ministries in mission. A few of the ministries have reassessed and revisited the word of the Lord, resulted in the change of direction, or focus and/or relocated.
